WPBS-DT CASTING CALL SEASON 2 HOST: XPEDITION OUTDOORS SERIES

Watertown, NY- October 23, 2014  – WPBS-DT, Watertown’s Public Broadcasting Station, announces a casting call for a Host of Season Two of the outdoor adventure series “Xpedition Outdoors.”    The six episode adventure series will highlight outdoor adventures in our Two-Nation broadcast community, and will be filmed at various locations throughout the area.

The “Xpedition Outdoors” series emphasizes the beauty and abundance of natural resources found in the North Country and Canada while exploring outdoor adventures that are, at times, physically demanding.  Season One included adventures such as ice climbing, rock climbing, ATV Riding, Hot Air Balloons and a Zip Line, to name a few.  Each episode employs the use of a point of view camera (POV), creating a unique, first-person experience of each adventure!

The successful candidate, from the United States or Canada will need valid enhanced license or passport and should be able to perform physical activities planned for the second series; walk for extended periods of time, lift and carry up to 50 pounds and be familiar with many outdoor sports and recreation events in our region.   Candidate should also be able to communicate experiences and talk with guests while filming.   Auditions will be held on November 20, 2014 at the WPBS TV studios from 10:00am – 3:00pm.  Please email tduflo@wpbstv.org   or call 315-782-3142 ext. 219 to schedule an audition.  For more information on the program, please visit wpbstv.org.
