How do I select my local station?

In order to take advantage of Passport, you must identify your station. You may encounter a message asking you to search by state or zip code. To select WPBS, enter 13601 when prompted to enter a zip code.

How do I sign in to Passport?

Go to watch.wpbstv.org or video.pbs.org and click on the “Sign In” button in the upper left corner, and type in the e-mail and password you used to activate your account. In the first phase, Passport is available now through web browsers on your desktop, laptop, tablet, and smartphone using the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge. Currently the PBS Video app is unavailable for users in Canada although it is now available on Roku. The PBS tech team is working on mobile, tablet, and TV apps and they will be rolling out throughout the fall.

If you have older browser versions, please update to the latest version before trying to view WPBS Passport content.

What content is available to Canadian Members with WPBS Passport?

Canadian members with PBS Passport can view most Passport content on PBS.org. Highlights of programming now available include every past episode of award-winning MASTERPIECE favorites like Poldark, Victoria, and Sanditon, along with hundreds of hours of Nature, NOVA, Antiques Roadshow, Finding Your Roots, Baking with Julia, The Best of the Joy of Painting with Bob Ross, Ken Burns documentaries like Country Music and Jazz, and so much more.

Although we will be expanding our PBS Passport library for Canadian Passport members, there may be a small number of shows that will be restricted to the U.S. or have slightly different availability windows. PBS must obtain the streaming rights for every program offered on our site, and these rights can be different between the US and Canada.

If you are interested in seeing if a specific program is available for online streaming, enter the program’s title in the Search Term box at this page: watch.wpbstv.org/search/

If a program does not appear on our site when you search for it by keyword, the program is unavailable for streaming in your area.

Passport videos are designated by a blue “compass rose” icon as shown in the image below:

I’m having problems logging in. How do I reset my Passport Password?

If you already have a PBS account and cannot remember your password, please click on Passport Password Reset link and you will be asked to enter the email address that is associated with your PBS account.

How do I change the email connected to my Passport benefit?

The Passport benefit can only be linked to one PBS account at a time. You can create multiple PBS accounts with different email addresses, but only the account you originally linked to your Passport benefit will grant you access to Passport videos. Learn how to change the email address used to access Passport here.
