MaryLand Debuts on MASTERPIECE on WPBS-TV Sunday, May 5, 2024 at 9 PM

WATERTOWN, NY (April 30, 2024) – MaryLand, the latest intimate character-driven drama from MASTERPIECE, follows two estranged sisters who reunite to unearth the truth about their mother’s sudden death and her double life on the Isle of Man. This is not so much a murder mystery as a compelling tale of two siblings opening up to each other as they work out a string of family secrets. The Guardian (UK) hails MaryLand as “joyful and incredibly affecting.”

MaryLand premieres on WPBS-TV Sundays at 9:00 pm, May 5-19, 2024.

Suranne Jones (Gentleman JackVigil) co-created MaryLand with writer Anne Marie O’Connor. Jones and Eve Best (House of the Dragon) play convincing siblings Becca and Rosaline, with Stockard Channing (The West Wing) as their mother’s enigmatic best friend, Maureen. The cast also includes George Costigan (Happy Valley), Hugh Quarshie (Silent Witness) and Dean Lennox Kelly (Shameless), among others.

EPISODE DESCRIPTIONS:

Episode One (Sunday, May 5, 2024)

Sisters Becca and Rosaline receive unimaginable news about their mother. They fly to the Isle of Man to learn more and are reunited after years of distance.

Episode Two (Sunday, May 12, 2024)

As Becca and Rosaline deal with the fallout from their mother’s death, new revelations emerge and the sisters cope in different and sometimes destructive ways.

Episode Three (Sunday, May 19, 2024)

Everything comes to a head as Richard and Jim arrive on the Isle of Man. Mary’s actions continue to have an impact on the entire family as they try to heal and reconnect.
