WPBS-TV HOSTS BUS TRIP TO WINTERLUDE 2017 – Celebrate Canada’s 150th Anniversary  

Watertown, NY- October 25, 2016, WPBS-TV, the North Country’s public broadcasting station, invites you to on a trip to Winterlude 2017, in Ottawa, Ontario!  Come celebrate winter in Canada’s Capital, February 17th – 19th and enjoy the many things to see and do that celebrate Ottawa’s enchanting snow-covered season and the 150th Anniversary of Canada.  This motor coach trip will depart from WPBS-TV, Friday, February 17th, to the Westin Ottawa hotel.  Once there, take the free shuttle and explore Winterlude on your own and enjoy the many festivities! Tickets include roundtrip motor coach for two, two nights at the Westin Ottawa, baggage handling, a breakfast buffet each morning, and bus driver gratuity.  Tickets are $950 per couple in US Funds.  To purchase your ticket please contact Julie Weston at 315.782.3142 ext. 216 or email her at jweston@wpbstv.org.

Winterlude takes place along the world’s largest skating rink, the Rideau Canal Skateway, and various sites across the Capital.  Take the free shuttle to a variety of activities and see the ice sculptures in Confederation Park, or visit the Ice Hogs family.  Foodies will love unique culinary events created by some of the capital’s best local restaurants — wine and food pairings, chef demonstrations, and walkabout winter feasts are all available. Winterlude 2017 promises to be the best yet, with activities to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Canada! Close to 600,000 people take part in Winterlude activities – most of which are free – each year.
