In an effort to understand the state of the economy now, the PBS NewsHour’s Nicole Ellis spoke with Elise Gould, a senior economist at the Economic Policy Institute and Diana Furchtgott-Roth, who is an adjunct economics professor at George Washington University and former chief economist at the Department of Labor, about their perspectives and to find out if America is in a recession, what is going on with inflation and what to expect in the future.
