WATCH: Biden attends Inauguration Day church service with family, Pelosi, McConnell

President-elect Joe Biden attended a morning worship service Jan. 20 at Saint Matthew’s Church in Washington ahead of his inauguration ceremony. Biden was accompanied by his wife, Jill Biden, and other members of his family. Congressional leaders including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., both attended the service as well. President Donald Trump spoke to supporters at Joint Base Andrews this morning before departing on Air Force One for Florida.

Trump’s refusal marks only the fourth time in history an outgoing U.S. president has not attended the next leader’s swearing-in ceremony.
