Tiny Coders

Students in Loudoun County, Virginia are learning to code, 30 minutes at a time. Together with their school district and Code to the Future, they’re piloting a new program that makes coding an integral part of their school day. Morgan Fishcher and her classmates at Dominion High School investigated how the program helps young students learn 21st century skills.

Produced by Morgan Fischer, Sanchita Pandey, Karen Ramos, and Alison Pataky at Dominion High School in Sterling, Virginia. Instruction provided by SRL Connected educator Mitchell Schwartz. Station support provided by Madeleine Hunt-Ehrlich and Kristy Choi from PBS NewsHour and WETA.
