Meet the new characters of Mercy Street Season 2, premiering Sunday Jan 22 at 8/7c on PBS.

Charlotte Jenkins, played by Patina Miller, is a former slave-turned-activist who comes to Alexandria to help the growing population of contrabands in making the transition to freedom.

Allan Pinkerton is played by Brían F. O’Byrne. Pinkerton, a founder of the Secret Service under President Lincoln, is a pompous man who’s something of a legend in his own mind, though he’s not nearly as renowned as he thinks he is.

Lisette Beaufort, played by Lyne Renée, is an alluring French anatomy artist tasked with creating medical art for an anatomy book and has come to Virginia to document the wounded.

Major Clayton McBurney III, played by Bryce Pinkham, is the the new head of Mansion House, and arrives at the hospital hell-bent on whipping things into shape.
