WATCH: What should you bring to vaccine appointments?

In many states, COVID-19 vaccines are only available for those who are above a certain age, work in specific field or have one or more qualifying medical conditions. Dr. Kimberly Manning of Grady Memorial Hospital said that in her experience, whether you’ll need to prove any of things to your health care provider “[depends] on who’s vaccinating you.” She recommends bringing along any relevant documents — like a state-issued IDs or medical records — to your appointment in case you’re asked for them. She also advised against signing up to get a vaccine if you don’t actually qualify for one to ensure that those who have a more pressing need for it can get theirs.
