WPBS-TV PRESENTS READY, SET, FUN BOOKFEST! BE A GOOD NEIGHBOR

WPBS-TV, Watertown, NY – This year will mark the 22nd year for the most successful and largest educational event in our area – Ready, Set, Fun Bookfest! Join us May 12th, 2018 from 10am-2pm at the Salmon Run Mall, located at 21182 Salmon Run Mall Loop W, Watertown, NY.

Each year over 1,500 children and parents join WPBS-TV, many community exhibitors, and local children’s authors for this literacy focused, hands on event. This year WPBS-DT, Watertown Public Media, and the Salmon Run Mall team up to bring you a new and improved Ready Set Fun Bookfest. Meet Curious George, Clifford the Big Red Dog, and Daniel Tiger, while enjoying over 30 educational exhibits along with fun opportunities at the Mall. Ready Set Fun Bookfest is a celebration of learning that has been held annually in May for over 20 years and boasts over 30 educational exhibitors, local authors, PBS Kids Characters, a gently-used book swap and much more. Each year, WPBS distributes over 1,000 free books (one per family) and donates over 1,000 pounds of food to local food pantries. Get ready, get set to have some fun at the annual Ready Set Fun Bookfest at the Mall! Admission is free with a non-perishable food item and/or a gently used sweater to commemorate the 50 year legacy of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood! For a list of vendors, directions and general information, please visit wpbstv.org/readysetfun.

Ready, Set, Fun is sponsored in part by Martin’s Point Healthcare and Stewart’s Shops.
