WPBS-TV Offers Classic British Literature Programming in March 2023

WATERTOWN, NY (March 1, 2023) – For more than fifty years WPBS has been proud to bring the finest British television drama to audiences across Northern New York and Eastern Ontario. But the unmatched narrative craftsmanship of British writers goes back much further than that. This month, indulge in adaptions of classic works of British literature and the backstories of the places that inspired them:

In the Footsteps of… (Tuesday March 7th at 8:00 pm) A visit to the places that inspired some of Britain’s most famous storytellers: Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, the Brontë Sisters, and Thomas Hardy.

Great Expectations (Saturday, March 11th at 8:00 pm) The lavish 3-part adaptation of the Dickens’ classic.

Sense & Sensibility (Saturday, March 18th at 8:00 pm) An enchanting 3-part adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel about love and marriage.
