WPBS-TV EXPLORES THE OUTDOORS IN NEWEST DOCUMENTARY

Watertown, NY – On Monday, June 24 at 9pm, WPBS-TV will air its newest local production, Park It! Explore the Outdoors, a 60-minute documentary exploring parks and waterfalls in the Thousand Island Region of New York State and Canada. The program, filmed by WPBS-TV Producer/Directors Ryan Proven and Kane Grant, began production in the Summer of 2018 and features beautiful aerial footage of the region.

Along with being visually stunning and informative, Park It! Explore the Outdoors features interviews with park representatives, who share stories of day-to day operations, historical facts, and interesting tidbits.

Park It! Explore the Outdoors will visit the following parks and waterfalls. In St. Lawrence County: Coles Creek State Park, Higley Flow State Park, Jacques Cartier State Park, and Robert Moses State Park. In Jefferson County: Robert G. Wehle State Park, Rock Island Lighthouse State Park and Westcott Beach State Park. In Lewis County: Whetstone Gulf State Park, along with several scenic waterfalls (Lyons Falls Dam, Shingle Mill Falls, Singing Waters, Talcotville Falls, and Whitaker Falls). In Canada: Fitzroy Provincial Park and Murphy’s Point Provincial Park.

After the premiere date of Monday, June 24 at 9pm, Park It! Explore the Outdoors will rebroadcast on the following dates: Saturday, June 29 at 5pm; Sunday, June 30 at 12noon; Sunday, August 4 at 2pm; and Wednesday, August 21 at 8:30pm.
