WPBS-TV EXPLORES NATURAL WONDERS OF THE NORTH IN NEW PRODUCTION

Watertown, NY – WPBS-TV combines literacy and the great outdoors as the newest local production is released for broadcast in June. Tune in for the premiere broadcast of PARK IT! EXPLORE THE OUTDOORS on Monday, June 24 at 9pm.

“With every production, WPBS seeks to inspire action and explore opportunities to engage our audience in meaningful dialogue and informative content,” stated Tracy DuFlo, Executive Producer at WPBS-TV. PARK IT! EXPLORE THE OUTDOORS is a 60-minute, high definition feature of ten parks; eight beautiful parks in the tri-county region are explored, along with two provincial parks in Canada, and six waterfalls in Lewis County.

The PARK-IT! EXPLORE THE OUTDOORS production has led the WPBS Creative and Educational team to schedule a series of Family Days, hosted by parks as featured in the production, thematic programming throughout the entire summer, a partnership with North Country Libraries for themed reading titles, screenings, PBS Kids Character “Nature Cat,” and so much more!

For a complete listing of parks and waterfalls, Family Day events, thematic programming, and more, visit wpbstv.org/parkit. There will be more information released when details are finalized.
