WPBS-TV ANNOUNCES LOCAL PHOTO CONTEST

Watertown, NY – WPBS-TV has announced the first-ever WPBS Photo Contest.  The competition aims to find photos featuring landscapes, events, the great outdoors – anything that captures the beauty of where we live.  The photo chosen as the winner will receive photo credit and be featured on-air as a WPBS-TV station ID, potentially reaching over 650,000 households throughout Northern New York and Eastern Ontario.  The WPBS Photo Contest is open to all and provides an opportunity to visually communicate what is loved about our two-nation community.

Those entering the WPBS Photo Contest can submit their entries online at wpbstv.org/photocontest, via email to marketing@wpbstv.org, or through the WPBS-TV Mobile App.  There is no requirement that photos be taken on any specific device or camera, but it is encouraged that entries be at least 1920x1080px at 72DPI. One entry per person.

Lynn Brown, WPBS-TV General Manager, says, “We are very excited to see each entry that comes in. Capturing a photo of our great community is a wonderful way to share the experiences of our two-nation community and what makes it so unique.”

Voting begins on April 17, 2019 at wpbstv.org/photocontest. Users can vote daily for their favorite photo and are encouraged to check back on the WPBS Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for updates. The winner will be announced via social media and email.
