Season 2
WPBS, Watertown, announces the second season of Xpedition Outdoors, a local adventure series, in high-definition, with host Dana Reid. This six part adventure series highlights scenic attractions and events in New York State. Xpedition Outdoors Season 2 will premiere on WPBS-DT, Tuesday, June 28th at 7:30pm, and will re-broadcast Saturday mornings at 7am.
WPBS-DT has been a long-time advocate for advancing travel and tourism by sharing the beauty of our region with others through the power of public media. This series emphasizes the beauty and abundance of the natural resources found in the North Country, which includes scuba diving in the St. Lawrence River, bicycling around North Creek, NY, participating in the Woodsmens Field Days in Boonville, NY and enjoying the activities from the 2015 Tri-Rivers District Scout Camporee at Southwick Beach State Park. Each episode employs the use of a point of view camera, creating a unique first person experience of each adventure! WPBS-DT will host a free screening of the Highlight Episode at the View Arts Center, located at 3273 NY-28, Old Forge, NY on Friday, July 29th at 6pm.

In the first Episode of Xpedition Outdoors, Season II, we visit Southwick Beach State Park, the location of the 2015 Tri-Rivers District Scout Camporee. Dana Reid, new host of Xpedition Outdoors, participates with Boy Scouts in their version of a woodsmens field days, including a Sasquatch calling contest. Later, the team of Xpedition Outdoors travels to Boonville, New York, where they experience the 68th Annual NYS Woodsmens Field Days. Join us as Lumber Jills and Lumber Jacks test their knowledge, skill and strength.

Host, Dana Reid, and friends board kayaks to enjoy a relaxing River & Rail Adventure on the Moose River with Tickners Moose River Paddling Trails in Old Forge, New York. Witness the scenic area of this beautiful river as the team floats downstream and rendezvous with the Adirondack Scenic Railroad to take them back up the river. Then, Dana tries her first triathlon in the ATC Old Forge Triathlon event.

For this aquatic episode of Xpedition Outdoors, host, Dana Reid, learns to scuba dive with Deep Down Divers in Gouverneur, New York. She learns how to breath underwater as she prepares for her fist open water descent into the St. Lawrence River to discover the mysteries that await beneath. Afterwards, Dana and special guest, Joe Chesbrough, elevate above the waters of Alexandria Bay, New York in an exciting Fly Boarding event with All in Adventures.

Schools out and its time for summer camp! Host, Dana Reid and guest, Dane Burns, travel to Croghan, New York for some fun and relaxation at the Oswegatchie Educational Center. Discover the many things to experience and take in the natural beauty that is part of this region of New York State. The camp is not only for kids, as Dana learns. And, its an ideal escape from modern day annoyances as theres no cell service!

Its the 10th Annual Ididaride! Host Dana Reid tackles segments of the 75-mile bicycle tour around the Adirondacks. Follow the Xpedition team and Black River Adventurers as they train Dana for this grueling ride through some of the most beautiful and scenic areas around North Creek, New York.
