WPBS-DT, Watertown, PBS, announces a new, local adventure series, in high-definition, entitled “Xpedition Outdoors” hosted by Chris LaShomb. This 13- part adventure series highlights scenic attractions in New York State and Eastern Ontario. The pilot episode will premier January 27th, with new episodes airing each Monday at 7:30pm and online at wpbstv.org/watchonline.
WPBS-DT has been a long-time advocate for advancing travel and tourism by sharing the beauty of our region with others through the power of public media. Hosted by Chris LaShomb, a North Country native and avid outdoor enthusiast, this series emphasizes the beauty and abundance of natural resources found in the North Country and Canada. Highlights featured in this new series include bobsledding in Lake Placid, kite-skiing in Jefferson County, exploring ATV trails in Lewis County, and experiencing the rapids of Canada’s Quebec River. Each episode employs the use of a point of view camera, creating a unique first person experience of each adventure!
A public screening of Episode 2 (Lake Placid episode) will be held at the WPBS-DT Studio, located at 1056 Arsenal Street, Watertown, NY on February 21st from 6pm – 8pm. WPBS-DT requests an RSVP by calling 315-782-3142 ext. 247 or emailing mstadalski@wpbstv.org.
