WPBS-DT MEMBERS CONTRIBUTE TO LOCAL FOOD PANTRY

WPBS-DT, Watertown Public Broadcasting, development team leverages community collaboration to donate to local food pantry. For every viewer pledging to WPBS during A Time to Treasure Member Drive, a pound of food will be donated by Watertown Times & NNY Business. In addition, the LeRay Walmart, will match the food donation up to a certain dollar amount to maximize purchasing power. “WPBS-DT truly wants our viewers and community partners to understand how we can better serve the community through collaboration” stated Bonnie Eppolito, WPBS Director of Development. WPBS-DT has selected the Watertown Urban Mission to receive the food donation following the member drive.

Lynn Brown, President & General Manager, stated that “WPBS-DT usually garners between 500 – 600 pledges during a typical membership drive, but we’re hoping to get as close to 1,000 pledges as possible for a total of 1,000 pounds of food to the Watertown Urban Mission during the holiday season.”
