WPBS-DT ANNOUNCES THE 44TH ANNUAL ALL-STAR AUCTION

Watertown, NY- March 20, 2014
asa logoWPBS-DT, Watertown, PBS, announces the 44th Annual All-Star Auction, which will air live April 26th – May 4th, 6pm to midnight on weekends and 7pm to midnight on weeknights. Donations from local businesses in northern New York and Canada will be auctioned off during this nine-evening event.  Viewers will be able to phone in and bid on over 2,000 items!

MVP donors will be showcased each evening of the auction, along with specialty themed boards.
Saturday, April 26th will feature Admission Tickets, Hotel/Travel, and Sports/Recreation; Sunday, April 27th will feature Automotive, Dining/Food, and Lawn/Garden; Monday, April 28th will feature Clothing/Jewelry, Pet Supplies, and Services; Tuesday, April 29th will feature Crafts/Collectibles/Toys, Household/Furniture, and Music/Entertainment; Wednesday, April 30th will feature Admission Tickets, Arts/Antiques, and Health/Beauty; Thursday, May 1st will feature Automotive, Hotel/Travel, and Pet Supplies; Friday, May 2nd will feature Clothing/Jewelry, Health/Beauty, and Lawn/Garden; Saturday, May 3rd will feature Crafts/Collectible/Toys, Music/Entertainment, and Dining/Food; Sunday, May 4th will feature Household/Furniture, Services, and Sports/Recreation.

 The All-Star Auction also features the favorite Wheel of the Night, which gives viewers a chance to win items at a set, discounted price, with the spin of the wheel!  Community Chests, another viewer favorite, are live auctioned every night at 8pm.  Viewers will be able to browse the items available during the auction on the All-Star Auction Buyer’s Guide and be able to print a nightly schedule of items, both available at www.wpbstv.org/allstarauction.

There is still plenty of time to become involved in the All-Star Auction!  If you are a business and would like to donate an item, have a group that would be interested in volunteering, or would like to provide additional sponsorship, please contact Monica Stadalski at mstadalski@wpbstv .org or call 315-782-3142 ext. 247.
