Wisconsin’s Ice Age Trail

More than 12,000 years ago, an immense flow of glacial ice sculpted a landscape of remarkable beauty across Wisconsin. As the glacier retreated, it left behind a variety of unique landscape features like tunnels, lakes and drumlins. Students at Wauwatosa West High School examined how The Ice Age Trail, a thousand-mile scenic footpath that allows visitors to explore this unique landscape, is being preserved by National Park Service volunteers.
