In her first interview about her experience during the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., told Judy Woodruff she came inches from attackers storming the hallways. “My husband sat with his foot against the door, praying that it would not break in.”
“I was not safe. It was a horrific feeling, and it lasted for a long time,” she said.
