WATCH: Sen. Klobuchar’s full questions to ABA panel in final day of confirmation hearings

Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., asked experts with the American Bar Association whether there was anything in Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s record or in her answers during the hearings this week “that make you believe she will be anything but impartial, even-handed justice?”

Ret. Judge Ann Claire Williams of the American Bar Association said the panel were “not glued to the hearings, we were preparing for our testimony,” but added that “there is nothing that has come to our attention to change our well-qualified rating” for Jackson.

Thursday was the final day of the Senate Judiciary Committee’s Supreme Court confirmation hearings for Jackson. After three days of testimony from Jackson and questions from senators, the committee heard from professional and personal witnesses who spoke to Jackson’s work and character.

Jackson was nominated by President Joe Biden in February to replace retiring Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer. After the hearings conclude, the committee will issue a recommendation in preparation for a full Senate vote. If confirmed, Jackson will be the first Black woman on the high court.
