The coronavirus pandemic has forced nearly everyone to miss out on experiences and making memories–including children. And for some kids, getting vaccinated against COVID-19 is incentive enough roll up their sleeves and get their shot. But how do you help ease the worries of children who are scared of needles and getting shots? This question and many more were answered on Nov. 12 during a conversation between PBS NewsHour’s Nicole Ellis, Dr. Payal Patel of the Institute for Healthcare Policy & Innovation at the University of Michigan, and Laura Santhanam, the PBS NewsHour’s health reporter and polling producer.
