WATCH: Daniel Nieh on the Leonard Cohen song that’s keeping feelings of helplessness at bay

When author Daniel Nieh listens to the song “Steer Your Way,” from Leonard Cohen’s final album “You Want it Darker,” he interprets it as an exhortation.

“This is a song about agency,” said Nieh, who uses Cohen’s song to help combat his feelings of helplessness amid the pandemic, economic crisis and social strife of 2020.
