President Joe Biden said he would make it clear that “the United States is back” during his first overseas trip as president.
Biden spoke before a group of U.S. Air Force personnel stationed in the U.K. on his first stop on a trip that includes the G-7 Summit, NATO Ministerial and a one-on-one meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin where Biden promised to let him “know what I want him to know.”
During the speech, Biden said America was “committed to leading with strength, defending our values.”
He said that he hopes to unite America’s “unrivaled network of alliances” among democratic nations to “meet the challenges of today.”
