The Titan Missile facility in Arizona was operational from 1963 until 1982. It was built to house Titan 2, the largest and most powerful nuclear missile weapons system ever deployed by the United States. At the height of the Cold War the United States and the Soviet Union threatened each other with these nuclear weapons. The Titan Missiles were manned twenty four hours a day and were ready to launch at a moments notice. Dr Derek Muller visti the Titan Missile Museum and meets with guide Chuck Penson. Together they simulate launching a missile.
