About the film:
The film provides an in-depth look at the impact of growing up surrounded by violence in one of New Orleans’ most crime-riddled neighborhoods. The film takes you to the playing field, the classrooms, players’ homes and the offices of the social workers whose attempts to treat the children’s post-traumatic stress are repeatedly thwarted by state budget cuts to mental healthcare.

The 2019 PBS Online Film Festival features 25 amazing short films that are available to vote for, watch and share from July 15th- 26th, 2019.
