In a small rural school in the village of Pulaski, in Oswego County, a creature walks the halls, but not just any creature. She is River, a golden retriever dressed in uniform, and ready to take down the enemy of sadness. River is a therapy dog at Laura M. Sharp Elementary, and even though this is her first year on the job she’s already changing lives.
