The Great Lakes provide drinking water for more than 40 million people. But these lakes are suffering from a plastic problem and it’s affecting people directly. 22 million pounds of plastic end up in The Great Lakes every year. And now researchers have found microscopic pieces of plastic in drinking water. Scientists are hard at work trying to figure out possible solutions.
