The conversation will examine the notion of separation of church and state, the expectation for American presidents to be religious, the rise of Evangelicalism as a strong political force and the intersection of religion and politics in America.
Featured guests include:
Anthea Butler – Associate Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Pennsylvania and author of “White Evangelical Racism: The Politics of Morality in America.”
Kevin Kruse – Professor of History at Princeton University and author of “One Nation Under God: How Corporate America Invented Christian America.”
The conversation will be moderated by Michelle Boorstein, religion reporter at The Washington Post.
