Olga Rodriguez Joins the Second Front

In 1958, student activist Olga Rodriguez joined Eloy Menoyo’s Second Front and was the first woman to join the guerrilla group. Rodriguez met and fell in love with American William Morgan. Through Rodriguez’s stories, Morgan began to better understand the plight of the impoverished Cubans he was fighting for. “American Comandante” premieres November 17 at 9/8c on PBS American Experience.
