NEW WPBS TV SERIES ON LOCAL SNOWMOBILE TRAILS PREMIERES

WPBS-TV, the Public Television station in Watertown, New York announces the broadcast of a new series in conjunction with Lewis, Oswego and Oneida Counties and Old Forge, New York.

Snow Country New York, a four-part local snowmobiling television series will air on WPBS-TV this winter. Snow Country New York will premiere on WPBS-TV over four Thursdays at 7:30 pm beginning on January 5 and will rebroadcast on Saturdays at 8:30 am beginning January 14. A third rebroadcast is yet to be scheduled; most likely in a Sunday afternoon timeslot on WPBS-TV.

Local trail systems will also be featured in the national cable series, Snow Trails TV on Sunday mornings at 7:30 am EST beginning October 16 on FSN North, FSN Detroit and MSG PLUS; which will also have a weekday rebroadcast (Time Warner Cable channel 54 and in HD on channel 801).

The local episode will air on November 13 and will rebroadcast on December 4. The combined regions cover the most extensive snowmobiling television audience in the country. These networks cover New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota. SnowTrails TV is an adventure snowmobiling series inviting viewers to experience the sport of snowmobiling as a recreational outdoor winter activity reaching 27,000,000 TVHH weekly.

The cable series Snow Trails TV will focus on the unique trail system’s offered in each county while four, half-hour, episodes of the WPBS-TV series Snow Country New York will expand on additional topics such as where and when to ride, the sport as a family activity, sights to see, things to do, the economical effects of the sport and snowmobiler safety.
