After filming zoologist Dian Fossey and the gorillas of Virunga National Park for Life on Earth, David Attenborough promised to help her in her efforts to save the mountain gorilla populations. He joined with other conservationists to create the Mountain Gorilla Fund. “Attenborough’s Life Stories: Our Fragile Planet” premieres Wednesday, February 6 at 8/7 (check local listings) and is part of the 31st season of the Peabody and Emmy award-winning series produced by Thirteen in association with WNET for PBS.
