LOCAL BUSINESSES UNITE TO DONATE 579 POUNDS OF FOOD TO LOCAL FOOD PANTRY

Urban MissionWPBS-DT, Watertown Public Broadcasting, partnered with local community businesses to donate food to the Urban Mission food pantry located in Watertown, NY. For every viewer that pledged to WPBS during the December A Time to Treasure Member Drive, a pound of food was donated by the Watertown Daily Times and NNY Business. In addition, the Leray Wal-Mart matched the food donation up to a specified dollar amount to maximize purchasing power.

WPBS-DT is proud to announce that 579 pledges were received during the “A Time to Treasure Member Drive”, resulting in 579 pounds of food delivered to the Urban Mission on December 19, 2013. The collaboration between WPBS-DT, Watertown Daily Times, NNY Business and the Leray Wal-Mart was a huge success. WPBS-DT is looking forward to facilitating more community partnerships to help those in need.
