Governor Andrew Cuomo resigned today, August 10, positioning Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul as the first female Acting Governor of the State of New York. His resignation takes effect August 24th.
WPBS sat down with the Lt. Governor in 2019 to discuss the progress of women in office. That 2019 interview sheds light on the position she’ll now step into as Acting Governor, as well as the kind of leader she is, and will become, in the days ahead.
