Throughout the history of our countries, people of Irish descent have made immense contributions in both the United States and Canada. Almost 10% of Americans, and over 13% of Canadians, are of Irish ancestry. And almosthalf of U.S. Presidents – including the current President – have some Irish ancestry.
March is Irish-American Heritage Month and as St. Patrick’s Day approaches (March 17th), WPBS is marking the occasion with a lineup of special programming from and about Ireland:
