Emerald Ash Borer, threat to Shenandoah’s Woodlands

The Emerald Ash Borer is an invasive beetle that is eating it’s way though America’s 16 species of Ash trees. It is on par with the American Chestnut blight which destroyed over 4 billion Chestnut trees in the Eastern United States. It is a relatively recent arrival in Shenandoah, but they are not rolling out the welcome mat.
