Years after his arrest, Charles Taylor’s legacy is still deeply felt across Liberia, says the nation’s president, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. “The effect of that regime and regimes of the past are still with today … Today we have a traumatized nation,” Sirleaf told FRONTLINE and ProPublica in an interview excerpt from the film Firestone and the Warlord.
