Chris Phelan was able to take the skills he acquired while a Marine in Afghanistan and transfer them to a new career: an LAPD officer. During the day, he raises his daughter while his wife is serving at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul. At night, he goes on patrol, doing much of what he did while at war.
