Item Name: COMMEMORATIVE PLATE
Item Number: 345
Tom LaClair donated this laser etched wooden plate; which commemorates Major General William T. Sherman, depicted in uniform on his horse, for the 150th Anniversary of the American Civil War. The plate is made from Cherry wood, and measures 11" in diameter. Sherman played an integral part in leading troops to the surrender of the Confederate armies in the Carolinas, Georgia and Florida in April 1865. He later served as the Commanding General of the Army, under President Grant. This plate is a must for a Civil War buff! Tom is a long time supporter of WPBS, and we appreciate his donation greatly.
