Description
This photograph was taken as sunrise highlighted the unique Pakenham 5 span stone bridge which crosses the Canadian Mississippi River. It was built in 1901, for $13,000 to replace a wooden bridge that was damaged each year by ice. Built for horse and cart, the bridge is only 20 ft. wide. The stone building at the end of the bridge was built in 1840 as a family home. This photographi is framed and matted in black and in addition to the photograph, Judy has generously donated a photographic book depicting the season along the Packenham Bridge.
