WPBS is pleased to announce the Explore the Region: Buy it Local Auction on Friday and Saturday, November 13th and 14th from 6pm to 11pm each evening. WPBS will be partnering with individuals and organizations on both sides of the border to call attention to the local artisans, attractions, handcrafted items and local food products that define the wonderful culture of our two nation region.
Donations include wares from the Corning Glass Museum, Michael Ringer, the Bay House Artisans, Denise Smith Silver Jewelry, food from the 3 Bears Gluten Free Bakery & Cafe, Thousand Islands River Rat Cheese, Bella Restaurant, attraction certificates from Deep Down Divers, Singer Castle, Kingston 1000 Islands Trolley Tour, Painted Pony Rodeo, and much more! Information on these items and hundreds more can be found on the online Buyers Guide at www.wpbstv.org/buyitlocal.
WPBS-DT is proud to say the Explore the Regions Auction is designed to work as a cycle. Everyone involved will benefit and a sense of pride in the region will be re-circulated throughout the auction process. The money raised by the auction will be used by WPBS-DT to purchase the desired quality programming for our viewing audience.
Our bidders can look forward to the many advantages to buying locally such as a new found knowledge of the area, as well as one-of-a-kind products. Donors have the opportunity to show the region their best, and spread awareness of who they are and what they do.
