The rising cost of energy is a problem that we all face. Consumers looking for ways to save energy - and to save money - found them at WPBS-DT's Energy Expo, hosted in March 2008, September 2009, and October 2010 in conjunction with The New York Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). All three Energy Expos featured lots of energy exhibits, including hybrid cars, pellet making, heating stoves, solar generators, and more. There were also workshops, food, and raffles, including a draw for ENERGY STAR appliances. A Children's Corner offered fun for the whole family with projects and special appearances by PBS Kids Characters.
