Family Fun Day

At Boldt Castle, Alexandria Bay, New York
Boldt Castle in association with WPBS-TV, will host the 4th Annual Family Fun Day, Saturday, June 17th from 10am – 3pm! Spend the day at various activity stations with your favorite PBS Kids characters like Clifford the Big Red Dog, Curious George, Nature Cat, Princess Presto, Bubbles, Daniel Tiger and Katerina Kittycat! Don't miss the fun with Fire Magick and Stage Notes!
Admission rates for the day are, Adults $ 9.50, Children 5-12 $ 6.50, ages 4 and under are free. This is an Operation Yellow ribbon event and military service members with ID will receive $1.00 off admission prices.Transportation to the castle may be obtained through one of the participating boat lines; Uncle Sam Boat Tours; Clayton Island Tours; 1000 Island Cruises Rockport and Gananoque Boat Lines. Transportation to the castle is an additional expense and not included in the Family Fun Day ticket price.

The day on the island includes several activity stations hosted by PBS Kids characters, along with story telling and exploring! Children can make a sea creature, plant a flower, create a music maker, participate in the parachute game, and talk to their favorite characters. Each character will have their own educational activity station for children to engage in, and each family will recieve a book upon departure from the island!
Returning to Family Fun Day this year will be Stage Notes and Fire Magick. Stage Notes is a local theater company comprised of students in grades 7-12. Their purpose is to help students see their passion for musical theater and make a difference in the community. Stage Notes will perform a song and dance act at Alster Tower.
Fire Magick will offer short performances and will teach children hula hoop routines throughout the day. Fire Magick is a professional fire dancing company that offers very unique, top notch entertainment that is exciting and memorable! Their performers combine highly technical prop manipulation skills with an athletic flowing dance to music. They use many props including; hoops, fans, levitation wand and orb, staff, dragon staff, and more!
Food will be available at the castles concession stand or families may bring a picnic lunch. Merchandise will be available for purchase and parents are encouraged to bring sunscreen and a camera. Don't forget to wear good walking shoes, bring a raincoat and umbrella incase of incliment weather, bring your smiles and have a great time.
