Ready To Learn is public television’s contribution toward our nation’s most urgent educational goal - ensuring that all children begin school ready to learn.  As a member of this program, WPBS-TV provides a variety of services to children and their parents and caregivers, including

• A daily lineup of 7 hours of PBS Kids programming, specifically designed to meet the needs of preschool and school-aged children.

• Whimsical educational breaks aired between the children’s programs.

• Free books, PBS Families magazines and other educational materials for children and families.

• 30+ workshops for parents, teachers and childcare providers conducted by WPBS-TV workshop trainers, based on the Learning Triangle.

Ready To Learn encourages adults to:

• Watch television actively with children and be more selective in their choices.

• Jump-start the learning process at home using books and activities that reinforce the educational information provided in PBS children’s series and other television programs.
