About EdVideo Online 

 

NEW !

For years, teachers have used PBS’ rich educational programs to engage their students. Now, WPBS-TV and public television stations throughout New York State,  are providing a new way to use videos in the classroom – FOR FREE.  Teachers, adult learners and students have access to a digital library of more than 3,200 educational core-curriculum videos and 15,000 video clips—24 hours a day, 365 days a year—all correlated to New York State Learning Standards.

Most users can download or stream the video clips anytime, customize their lesson plans with selected clips, and share their lessons with their colleagues.  The videos are created by nationally renowned producers such as United Learning, Weston Woods, TV Ontario, Environmental Media, Rainbow Educational Media, and others.

  • “This Day in History” calendar with correlating video clips to commemorate
    events in history.  Teachers simply click a date to view events and video titles.

·     Account Eligibility

All New York State K-12 students, K-12 educators/staff/adult learners in the WPBS-TV viewing area are eligible for FREE account to access WPBS-TV's EdVideo Online. Note: All NYS public television stations provide accounts for this service. If you are outside the WPBS-TV viewing area, contact your local station for more details.

Returning Users: If you already have an EdVideo online login to the old unitedstreaming service from last year, continue using the the new username and password for WPBS-TVs new service. Enter your username and password below for full streaming and downloading capability on the new EdVideo Online. If you experience any difficulties, you can report issues to lohara@wpbstv.org

Unitedstreaming users can access that site (streaming only!) through 10/31/06. After that date the rights expire and all copies of downloaded materials must be deleted. You will need to contact unitedstreaming directly to arrange to retain rights to that system beyond 10/31/06.
